Route

Course Description

This course leads you toward Kamiyama, using the Tokushima Country Club sign as your landmark. You’ll gently climb through forested areas with the Ayukui River on your left. With little car traffic and pleasant scenery, it’s perfect for a relaxing ride.

Caution Areas

On the uphill route, be cautious at blind curves where cars may appear suddenly. On the descent, watch your speed. The Shin-Funō Tunnel has narrow sidewalks—be sure to turn on your lights and control your speed when going downhill.

Challenging Sections

While the slope is gentle, the climb is long. Take breaks at scenic spots along the way and ascend at your own pace without rushing.

Highlights

The rural landscapes along the Ayukui River are soothing and peaceful. At the checkpoint—Roadside Station “Onsen no Sato Kamiyama”—you’ll find local produce, processed foods, and popular items like ice cream and udon. Nearby, the hot spring facility at Hotel Shikinosato “Iyashi-no-Yu” is known for its relaxing and refreshing waters, attracting many visitors from both inside and outside the prefecture.
