Course Description
This course is recommended for small children and beginners. The course is short but offers beautiful views of the sea, including crossing the sea on a leisurely boat ride (Kurosaki Ferry), the view from Konaruto Bridge, the Uchinoumi coastline, and passing under the Konaruto Bridge.
Caution Areas
The road before entering and after exiting the Konaruto Tunnel is narrow, so procced slowly. Instead of going through Konaruto Tunnel, go through the pedestrian and bicycle road. Be cautious on the small path along Uchinoumi Sea, as there are many curves with poor visibility.
Challenging Sections
Immediately after starting, there is an uphill incline across the Konaruto Bridge which can be difficult for beginners and children but do your best!
Highlights
The Kurosaki Ferry (free of charge) is a vital means of transportation for locals, so you might enjoy interacting with residents during the short ride. Along the course, you’ll also find shops serving “Naru-churu udon,” a unique local style of udon that has been beloved by locals for generations. It features a light, golden soy-based broth and soft, uneven thin noodles that are easy to slurp—comforting and full of local flavor.
