Course Description
This round-trip course goes along the crystal clear Kaifu River. The waterfall, which is Todoroki Waterfall Shrine's sacred spot, is a popular, spiritual hot spot. With a drop of 58 meters, Todoroki Falls is the highest waterfall in Tokushima and is extremely extraordinary and mystical.
Refresh yourself by bathing in plenty of negative ions!
Caution Areas
Make a complete stop and check your surrounding before merging onto National Route 55. The road becomes narrow partway through the course. There are sand and gravel in some places. Be careful not to fall or get a puncture in your tire.
Challenging Sections
From the starting point to Todoroki Falls, there is a gentle uphill slope which then becomes steeper once you reach the waterfall.
Highlights
Kaifu River has been certified as one of the 36 clearest rivers in Japan, with beautifully transparent water. Todoroki Falls is selected as one of the "Top 100 Waterfalls of Japan." A walking trail leads you close to the basin of the waterfall, allowing you to experience its power up close.

Awa-Kainan Bunkamura serves as the base for this course. This cultural center is also the departure and arrival point for the Dual Mode Vehicle (DMV), the world`s first vehicle that runs on both roads and train tracks. Take a ride on the DMV.
