Course Description
This relaxing course runs through the middle of Muroto-Anan Beach Quasi-National Park, and cyclists can see the Pacific Ocean while riding. Along the way, as you pass under a railroad line, there are small mountain passes, tidal flats, and cliffs where you can enjoy nature to the fullest. The streets of Shishikui have the atmosphere of a fishing port town.
Caution Areas
Be cautious when merging onto National Route 55 right after you depart from the starting point. There are some narrow sections along the course. Be careful of your speed when going downhill.
Challenging Sections
The mountain pass in the middle of the course and the uphill slope at the end of the course are the most challenging parts of the course. Also, the road along the coast has strong winds at times.
Highlights
Takegashima, located off the coast of Kaiyō Town at the southernmost tip of Tokushima Prefecture, is a small island within the Muroto-Anan Kaigan Quasi-National Park. It is connected to the mainland by a short bridge about 100 meters long. Marine Jam on Takegashima offers underwater sightseeing cruises on boats with glass-bottom windows. In summer, it also serves as a base for marine activities like sea kayaking tours around the island and snorkeling.

Parking Lot (Start & Goal)
Awa-Kainan Bunkamura serves as the base for this course. This cultural center is also the departure and arrival point for the Dual Mode Vehicle (DMV), the world`s first vehicle that runs on both roads and train tracks. Take a ride on the DMV.
