Tokushima Prefecture is implementing a certification program for “Healthy Cycling Workplaces” targeting workplaces and organizations (hereinafter referred to as “workplaces, etc.”) within the prefecture.

１　Program Objective
To certify workplaces within the prefecture that can promote bicycle commuting and commit to following the Five Rules for Bicycle Use as “Healthy Cycling Workplaces.”
The aim is to encourage healthier lifestyles through daily bicycle use, improve sports participation rates, and promote adherence to traffic manners.

２　Implementing Body 
Tokushima Prefectural Government – Tourism, Sports and Culture Department, Sports Promotion Division

３　Program Summary
   Workplaces, etc. that meet the certification criteria will receive a “Declaration for Promoting Bicycle Use and Improving Traffic Manners” and
will be encouraged to engage in organization-wide efforts to improve employee health and traffic behavior.

４　Certification Criteria
(1) Actively promote bicycle commuting and bicycle use.
(2) Commit to following the Five Rules for Bicycle Use and traffic laws.
(3) Own bicycles that employees can use.
(4) Hold (or plan to hold) at least one safety seminar per year.
(5) Wish to continue promoting initiatives (1) to (4) above.

５　Certification
Workplaces that meet three or more of the criteria will be certified by the Sports Promotion Division of Tokushima Prefecture.
A declaration form will be issued to certified workplaces.
If there are any changes in name, location, or certification criteria after certification,
a Change Notification Form (Form 2) must be promptly submitted to the Sports Promotion Division.

６　Certification Period
For the first year only, certification will be valid until March 31. Unless otherwise indicated, it will be automatically renewed annually.
To withdraw from the program, a Withdrawal Notification Form (Form 3) must be promptly submitted to the Sports Promotion Division.

７　Publicity
Certified workplaces will be introduced on the “Bicycle Kingdom Tokushima” website.

８　Benefits of Participation
(1) Promotion of health initiatives within the workplace
(2) Promotion of better traffic manners
(3) Promotion of bicycle use
(4) Promotion of a decarbonized society

９　Other Notes
This program will be implemented in cooperation with relevant organizations.

【Implementation Steps】
(1) The program contractor will reach out to workplaces, etc.
(2) The contractor will collect certification application forms (Form 1), or applications may be submitted directly to the prefecture.
(3) After review by the prefecture, certification information will be sent to the contractor.
(4) The contractor will distribute the declaration forms to certified workplaces.
(5) Certified workplaces will be listed on the “Bicycle Kingdom Tokushima” website.
