Tokushima Prefecture certifies “Healthy Cycling Workplaces” to promote bicycle use at workplaces within the prefecture and improve traffic manners and sports participation rates.

1 Implementing Body
Tokushima Prefecture / Tokushima Prefecture Bicycle Use Promotion Council

2 Eligible Organizations 
Businesses and comprehensive community sports clubs within Tokushima Prefecture (hereafter referred to as “workplaces”).

3 Program Summary
   
Workplaces that meet the certification criteria will receive a “Declaration for Promoting Bicycle Use and Improving Traffic Manners” and distribute “Traffic Manners Improvement Badges” to employees who agree to participate. This initiative promotes workplace-wide efforts to improve employee health and traffic manners.

4 Certification Criteria
(1) Actively promote bicycle commuting and bicycle use.
(2) Commit to following the Five Rules for Bicycle Use and traffic laws.
(3) Own bicycles that employees can use.
(4) Hold (or plan to hold) at least one safety seminar per year.
(5) Businesses that wish to promote initiatives (1) through (4).

5 Certification
Certification will be granted by the Tokushima Prefecture Sports Promotion Division to workplaces that meet at least three of the criteria. Certified workplaces will receive a declaration and badges, and the certification will be reported to the Bicycle Use Promotion Council.

6 Public Relations
Certified businesses will be introduced on the “Bicycle Kingdom Tokushima” website.

(4) Promotion of a decarbonized society
